WA Water Readings - Posted 5/12/25
If your recent water bill was abnormally high (especially for April 2025), call WA Water immediately. 877-408-4060 and give them your account number.
As of 5/12, there are at least 13 FCA residents who have had abnormally high April readings. WA Water is sending someone to check the meter of each resident who has called in. This will happen in the next few days.
If the meter reading is correct, and months preceding April were usually low, they will average out usage, possibly resulting in lower stages and lower bills.
They use a hand held device to read the meter. When they check, they will visually look at the meter reading (and dig it out if necessary).
Wild Fire Safety Talk by Department of Natural Resources (DNR)
Jesse Duvall, Community Wildfire Resilience Coordinator from DNR attended our 4/24/25 membership meeting and gave a very informative talk about how we and our community can be better prepared for wild fires.
Jesse first showed many photos from wildfires in nearby counties to demonstrate that we are not immune to wildfires in western WA. He then discussed specifically what homeowners can do, and how a neighbors can work together to protect each other.
Jesse provided these useful links that cover the information from Jesse's talk.
Jesse also provided these great reference documents (PDFs to download)
